bagyo Weather Advisory No. 1: Southwest Monsoon
The prevailing southwest monsoon is expected to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), CALABARZON and over the provinces of Zambales, Bataan and Mindoro. Residents in these areas are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.Meanwhile, light to moderate rains will prevail over Western Visayas, Metro Manilaand over the rest of Luzon today.The public and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned are advised to take the necessary precautionary measures.

FOR: Strong to gale force southwesterly wind associated with the southwest monsoon

Strong to gale force winds is expected to affect the following areas:

THE WESTERN SEABOARD OF SOUTHERN LUZON
(Metro Manila, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, western coast of Batangas and Palawan)
Cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms (52– 63) / (28 –34) Rough to very Rough 3.4 to 4.5

THE SOUTHERN and EASTERN SEABOARDS OF SOUTHERN LUZON
(Oriental Mindoro, southern coast of Batangas, Marinduque, Romblon, Masbate, Burias Island, Camarines provinces, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon and Quezon including Polillo Island)

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms (52 – 63 /28 – 34) Rough
to very rough
3.4 to 4.5



Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
