NINA  Typhoon NINA was located based on all available data at 475 km East Northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar” HAS INTENSIFIED INTO A TYPHOON AS IT CONTINUES IN A WEST NORTHWEST DIRECTION.
•Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy rains within its 400 km diameter of the typhoon.
•TY “NINA” is expected to intensify further before making landfall.
•It is expected to make landfall over Catanduanes by Sunday (Dec. 25) afternoon or evening.
•Sea travel is risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon and Visayas.
Location of Eye/Center: At 4:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “NINA” was located based on all available data at 475 km East Northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (13.1 °N, 129.5 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 135 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 165 kph
Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 17 kph

•48 Hour(Monday morning):In the vicinity of Goa, Camarines Sur
•72 Hour(Tuesday morning): 240 km West of Sangley Pt, Cavite
•96 Hour(Wednesday morning):490 km West of Iba, Zambales (OUTSIDE PAR)
•120 Hour(Thursday morning):325 km Northwest of Pagasa Island, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR)

TCWS 1 (30-60 kph Expected in 36 hours): Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon and Masbate including Ticao, Burias Islands, Northern Samar and Eastern Samar.
Wave Height: (Open Sea) 1.25-4.0 meters
The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next weather bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
