Tropical Storm “ISANG” has maintained its strength as it continues to move farther away from the country towards Southern China.
All Public Storm Warning Signals are now lowered.
Tropical Storm “ISANG” (CIMARON) will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila,Ilocos region, CAR, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and the Batanes and Calayan group of Island.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate – heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
Fishermen especially those using small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the Northern and Western Seaboards of Luzon due to big waves generated by Tropical Storm “ISANG”.

At 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm “ISANG” was estimated based on all available data at 250 km west of Itbayat, Batanes (20.9°N, 119.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting western section of Luzon.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, CAR, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and the Batanes and Calayan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over Luzon and Western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to south with slight to moderate seas.
