SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “EGAY” was estimated based on Aparri Doppler Radar and all available data at 135 km Southwest of Laoag City (17.8°N, 119.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move North at 7 kph. Southwest monsoon affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.
FORECAST: Stormy weather with rough to very rough seas will prevail over Ilocos provinces, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao, Batanes and Cagayan including Calayan & Babuyan group of islands. La Union, Pangasinan, Isabela, Mt. province, Ifugao & Benguet will have rains with gusty winds and moderate to rough seas. Moderate to heavy monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides will be experienced over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon. Light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Visayas. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over the rest of the country with moderate to rough seas.
