The Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar has Developed into a Tropical Depression and was named “Carina”.

The low pressure area being monitored in the Philippine area of responsibility has turned into a tropical depression.

According to PAGASA, Tropical Depression Carina was seen 195 kilometers east of Borongan, Eastern Samar at around 5 a.m. Friday.

JULY 29 CARINA The Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar has Developed into a Tropical Depression and was named Carina.At 10:00 am today, the center of tropical depression “CARINA” was estimated based on all available data at 195km East o Borongan City, Eastern Samar.
Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 300km diameter of the Tropical Depression. Fishfolk are alerted against moderate to rough seas over the eastern seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
