Meanwhile, at 2 a.m. today, Tropical Storm (Int’l Name: TALIM) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 430 km West Northwest of Basco, Batanes (21.3°N, 117.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move northeast at 22 kph.
Northern and Central Luzon will have occasional rains becoming frequent over the western section of Northern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the Southwest to West over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
