At 2:00 a.m. today, the Shallow Low Pressure Area (SLPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 560 km East of Mindanao (7.5°N, 132.0°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Visayas and Mindanao. Wind convergence affecting Northern and Eastern Luzon.
Forecast:

Northern and Eastern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast and East will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the East to Northeast with slight to moderate seas.
