TROPICAL DEPRESSION “SAMUEL” IS NOW OVER THE VISAYAN SEA AND HEADING TOWARD ILOILO PROVINCE.

• Moderate to heavy rains, which may trigger flooding and landslides, are expected over Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Quezon. Residents of these areas, especially those living near or in river channels, low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to take appropriate measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates.
• Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the areas under TCWS #1, as well as the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon.
• TCWS # 1 over Samar provinces are now lifted.

Location of eye/center: At 7:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “SAMUEL” was estimated based on all available data at 90 km East Southeast of Roxas City, Capiz (11.3°N, 123.5°E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h
Forecast Movement: Moving West at 30 km/h

• 24 Hour(Tomorrow morning): 160 km North of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(11.2°N, 118.8°E)
• 48 Hour(Friday morning):500 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR)(11.9°N, 114.7°E)
• 72 Hour(Saturday morning): 800 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR)(11.7°N, 111.7°E)

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next Severe Weather Bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
