“NINA” HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AS IT MOVES TOWARD THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF BICOL AREA.
•Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within its 500 km diameter of the typhoon.
•It is expected to make landfall over Catanduanes by Sunday (Dec. 25) afternoon or evening.
•Possible inclusion of Bataan, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, to areas with TCWS #1 at 11pm today.
•Sea travel is risky over the seaboards of Luzon.
•Storm surge height of up to 2.5 meters is possible over the coastal areas of Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte and Catanduanes.

Location of Eye/Center: At 7:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon “NINA” was located based on all available data including Guiuan doppler radar at 355 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.4 °N, 127.5 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 215 kph
Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 15 kph

•24 Hour( Tomorrow afternoon): 65 km East of Virac, Catanduanes
•48 Hour(Monday afternoon):In the vicinity of Tuy, Batangas
•72 Hour(Tuesday afternoon): 340 km West Southwest of Iba, Zambales
•96 Hour(Wednesday afternoon):270 km North Northwest of Pagasa Island, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR)
•120 Hour(Thursday afternoon):320 km West of Pagasa Island, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR)

TCWS 2 (61-120kph expected in 24 hours): Camarines Sur, Masbate including Ticao and Burias Island, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon and Northern Samar.
Wave Height: (Open Sea) 4.1-14.0 meters Storm surge of up to possible at coastal areas
TCWS 1 (30-60kph expected in 36 hours): Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon including Polillo Island, Camarines Norte, Aurora, Romblon, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island, Oriental Mindoro, Aklan, Capiz, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte and Bantayan Island.
Wave Height: (Open Sea) 1.25-4.0 meters
