Synopsis:
At 2:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data 120 km South of Palawan (8.0°N,118.0°E).
Forecast:
Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the Eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast and East will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds coming from the East to Northeast will prevail over Visayas and coming from the Northeast to Northwest over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.
