At 2:00 a.m. 23 March 2012, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 120 km North Northeast of Puerto Princesa City (10.9°N, 119.1°N).
Luzon and Western Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Palawan which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to Southeast will prevail over Palawan and coming from the East to Southeast over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
