At 2:00 a.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data in the vicinity of Surigao Del Norte (9.6°N, 125.5°E). It is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.
Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Bicol region and the rest of MIMAROPA will have occasional light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
