Two people died while two others remain missing after floods hit parts of the Bicol region, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.
The fatalities were identified as Aida Fusana Floralde, 61; and Jomar Gordola Brezuela, 19. Both were residents of Sorsogon province.
The NDRRMC said Floralde drowned while crossing a bridge submerged in flood waters in Barangay San Francisco, Bulusan town.
Brezuela, on the other hand, drowned at Sabang Beach in Barangay Obrero, Bulan town due to leg cramps and strong current.
Two fishermen from Gigmoto, Catanduanes, identified as Micheal Toonan, 22; and Efren Templonevo, 50, remain missing. They reportedly set sail on the morning of March 20.
A landslide incident occurred in Bulan town where a house of a barangay kagawad was buried in mud. No casualty was reported.
Weather bureau PAGASA earlier warned of possible landslide and flash floods in southern Luzon; Visayas; and northern and western Mindanao due to the presence of a low pressure area. The weather disturbance has since dissipated.
But PAGASA said another LPA is now 120 kilometers north northeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
This weather system is expected to bring mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Luzon and western Visayas.
