SALOME CONTINUES TO MOVE WEST NORTHWESTWARD AS IT APPROACHES SOUTHERN QUEZON-MARINDUQUE AREA.
Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 250 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
Residents of areas under TCWS #1 as well as the eastern section of Central Luzon are advised to be alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.
Sea travel is risky over areas under TCWS #1 due to moderate to rough seas.
Salome is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday morning.
Location of eye/center: At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression “SALOME” was estimated based on all available data at 65 km Southwest of Pili, Camarines Sur (13.2 °N, 122.8 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph
Forecast Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 25 kph
