The low pressure area East of Dinagat Islands has developed into a tropical depression and was named “NANDO”.Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate – heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today.
At 4:00 am today, the low pressure area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 340 km East of Dinagat Islands (10.4 °N, 128.8°E) embedded along the monsoon trough affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Eastern Visayas and Caraga will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila, the provinces of Laguna, Rizal and Quezon, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA and the rest of Visayas and of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southwest to West with slight to moderate seas.
