At 4:00 p.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm “ISANG” was estimated based on all available data at 210 km Northwest of Aparri, Cagayan (19.9°N, 120.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center. It is forecast to move Northwest at 22 kph.
Ilocos Norte, Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan group of islands will have rains and gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. Metro Manila, Mindoro, Palawan, the rest of Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, CALABARZON and Western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest with slight to moderate seas.

Tropical Storm “ISANG” will enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.
Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate – heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today.
